ITALIAN DRILLING & FOUNDATION AWARDS

The purpose of the IDFA is to give visibility to and enhance the recognition of the work, achievements, innovations, and successes of Italian companies operating in the sectors of vertical drilling for water wells, geothermal energy, piling and special foundations, soil consolidation, geognostics, and environmental investigations.

It aims to acknowledge their professionalism, growth, and strategic role — factors that represent a true asset for the benefit of the entire national economy.

The first edition of the IDFA, an event that will become itinerant in the coming years, is being organized on the occasion of the 25th edition of GEOFLUID, the unmissable international exhibition for the drilling, special foundations, and geotechnical sectors.

The event will undoubtedly bring to Piacenza not only professionals from all over Italy, but also international visitors from all over the world, as it traditionally does.

The IDFA Awards (Italian Drilling & Foundation Awards), organized by Mediapoint & Exhibitions Srl with the support of leading industry associations and institutions, are supported by PERFORARE, the leading publication for the vertical and horizontal drilling sector, and CONCRETE NEWS, Italy’s reference magazine for concrete technology and construction.

The IDFA Awards will be presented to Italian companies operating both nationally and internationally, as well as to the Italian branches of international companies operating within Italy.

The jury responsible for evaluating the submitted applications will be composed of selected members from industry associations and supporting organizations, as well as experienced journalists from the sector, drawn from the editorial teams of the two co-organizing publications: PERFORARE and CONCRETE NEWS.

Participation in the IDFA 2026 competition is completely free of charge.

Drilling companies and projects (vertical drilling, water wells, geothermal wells, piling, anchors, diaphragm walls, micropiles, soil consolidation, jet grouting, geognostic investigations, exploratory and environmental surveys) completed — in Italy and abroad — from January 1, 2025 to September 1, 2026, will be eligible for the awards.

Outstanding careers will also be recognized and awarded, honoring individuals who have distinguished themselves for their professional and managerial excellence within drilling and special foundation companies.

In addition, recognition will be given for professional achievement to owners and commercial operators — as well as managers of Italian branches of foreign companies — representing Italian manufacturers and/or distributors of machinery, equipment, and systems for vertical drilling, piling, soil consolidation, and geotechnical works.
